A warm welcome awaits you at The Cobbles Inn in Kelso from hands-on proprietors, Gavin and Annika Meiklejohn, and their friendly staff.

The History

Tucked away in a corner off the cobbled Town Square, you will find this modernised 19th Century Coaching Inn to be warm, inviting and informal.

The Cobbles Inn is a well-established, award-winning restaurant that serves an eclectic mix of British gastro-pub classics, Pacific Rim and modern European cuisine. The Cobbles Inn features a frequently changing menu, using the finest local produce and seasonal ingredients, with all dietary requirements catered for.

Our Function Facilities

At The Cobbles Inn, we have a tastefully refurbished upstairs Dining / Function Room which is the perfect venue for private dining, small wedding receptions, anniversaries and funeral teas or as a location for business dinners. 

The function room can seat up to 40 guests for dinner. We would be delighted to discuss the menu details with you and with all meals at the Cobbles being prepared with fresh ingredients we are able to offer a menu to fit your requirements.

During the busy summer months, the function room is used as a dining room at weekends and therefore it is advisable to contact us as far in advance as possible with details of your requirements.

Kelso Folk Music

Every Friday night the Kelso Folk and Live Music Club meets here for their weekly jam session so come on down and either take part or simply enjoy the tunes!

With character and atmosphere in abundance, a roaring log fire (in winter), fantastic food, continental beers, real ales and, of course, single malt whiskies The Cobbles Inn is a great place to meet for a drink and the ideal venue for any party booking for a relaxed gastro-pub lunch, an evening meal or a special dining occasion.

Opening Hours

The Cobbles is open from 11.30am for coffees, lunches from 12noon until 2pm, and evening meals from 6pm. On Sunday lunch traditional roast meals are served with two and three course specials.
